Welcome to The DMR Mental Ward - Talk Group 31665
General rag chews on any subject is welcome. We would like to extend a warm welcome to operators from around the world. There a no bridges to other digital voice networks, or modes. We thought it would be a good idea to start out simple and see how it goes.
Hawaii DMR Net -
There is a net every Saturday at 1900 HST (0500 UTC) on Talk Group (TG) 3115 Hawaii Statewide (Hawaii-1). NCS for the Hawaii DMR net is Blake KH7MS. This net has great bunch of operators and encourage new members to join. The subject discussed last night was about hotspots/repeaters being configured by various members of the net and their susceptibility to interference. Participants also described their model hotspot(s), transceiver and what steps they took identify root causes of the interference, along with steps taken to resolve interference issues. Many of the operators talked about their efforts to configure their hotspots and the types of digital modes used. Specific discussion about operating Fusion/C4FM with the ZumSpot family of hotspot. The group shared information about those Wires-Z/YSF rooms which are typically very popular. Blake, KH7MS, discussed his MMDVM repeater he is in the process of building. Blake was very impressed with the performance of P25 - specifically the P25 talk group 10400.
