Thank you for checking out our Catawba Valley DMR Group page! For those not aware, the Catawba Valley is located in central North Carolina in the Piedmont Region. Closest cities included in our local area are: Hickory, Lincolnton, Gastonia, Huntersville, Charlotte, Morganton, Statesville, Mooresville, Maiden, Conover, Newton, Shelby, Kings Mountain, Belmont, and quite a few others. We are located at Talkgroup# 31678 and we are associated with the Catawba Valley Amateur Radio Society ham club in Catawba County, NC. We want to encourage anybody to feel free and chat on our Talkgroup if you'd like to, after all that's why we listed it on the list. Feel free to say hello to any of us, we might even be your neighbors, and we're a friendly bunch of guys (and girls) that started out using GMRS channels & graduated to Ham channels (some of us are Technician level and some are Extra level). We host 2 Nets every Monday evening. The first one starts @ 7:15pm and is our club DMR Net on BrandMeister talkgroup 31678 which is linked via EchoLink KO4AXL-R node. The second one is our 2M Net beginning @ 7:30pm on the WA4PXV repeater, frequency 146.850 MHz, with a (-) offset & no tone and is linked via EchoLink KO4AXL-L node, so feel free to check-in no matter where you are, we would love to have you!
