I started off on 11m in 1993, talking to locals on channel 32 in SE Aurora, CO and 29 on the west side of Denver. When I was stationed at Fort Hood, TX, I ran 19 for a while. Then found a local ssb group on 38 LSB. When I was discharged from the Army in 2006, I moved to Fountain, CO where I found people on 39 LSB. A lot of the operators got their ham licenses after code was dropped. I was off the air from 2013 until I got my tech license on 9/11/2018. I then got my general on 10/20/2018. I got my extra on 6/15/2019. Right now, I have a QYT KT-980Plus, Yaesu FT-890, Alinco DR-570T (being repaired), Hytera AR482G, Anytone AT-D878UV, Yaesu FT-70D and a Radioddity/ Baofeng UV-82X3. I have a Tram 1481 dual band antenna and a G5RV Jr. inverted V, so far.
