PoC Manager Configuration (Device Programming)

Each Hytera PoC radio must be programmed using Hytera PoC Manager.

Field-by-Field Explanation

PoC Account = Your DMR ID (This must be your BrandMeister DMR ID)

PoC Password = Hotspot Password (Use the Hotspot Security Password from BrandMeister Selfcare)

Enterprise ID = Your Callsign (Use your radio callsign)

Active Server IP = Master IP (IP Address of your Chosen Master)

Active Server Port = 50283

Standby Server = (leave empty)

Domain Address = (leave empty)

🔐 Security note: The PoC Password is not your BrandMeister website password. It is the Hotspot Password found in Selfcare.

BrandMeister Selfcare – Terminal Affiliations

To control which Talkgroups your Hytera PoC device can access, BrandMeister has introduced a new section in Selfcare.

What Are Terminal Affiliations?

Terminal Affiliations define which Talkgroups are provisioned server-side to your HyTalk device.

This is required because:

Hytera PoC devices do not dynamically affiliate like RF radios

Talkgroups must be explicitly assigned to the PoC terminal

How to Configure

  1. Log in to BrandMeister Selfcare
  2. Navigate to Terminal Affiliations
  3. Add the Talkgroups you want available on your HyTalk device
  4. Reboot or reconnect the PoC device

Example Talkgroups

91 – Worldwide

23522 – Country / Regional

9-TETRA – TETRA Interop

Your personal or test TGs

ℹ️ Tip: If a talkgroup is missing here, it will not appear or work on the PoC device.

Common Issues & Troubleshooting

❌ Device does not register

  1. Check DMR ID is correct
  2. Verify Hotspot Password
  3. Confirm server IP and port 50283

❌ Talkgroups missing

  1. Ensure they are added under Terminal Affiliations
  2. Restart the PoC device after changes

❌ Login loop or authentication failure

  1. incorrect DMR ID or Enterprise ID Empty
  2. Incorrect hotspot password (very common)

Summary

✔ Hytera PoC devices integrate cleanly with BrandMeister via HyTalk

✔ Configuration is simple but strict

✔ Talkgroups must be provisioned using Terminal Affiliations

✔ PoC Account = DMR ID, not a username
